What we do
AstraRelay is a managed service for HVAC and plumbing businesses. We capture the revenue that would otherwise be lost when a call goes unanswered. Customers don’t install software, attend training, or log into a dashboard. They forward their line. Qualified leads start appearing in the CRM they already use, alongside a monthly written report of the dollars we recovered for them.
Why we exist
A two-truck shop in summer peak misses thirty or more calls a week. Of those, a meaningful fraction are real, ready-to-book jobs that walk straight to whichever competitor picks up first. The owners we’ve spoken to know the problem cold; they just don’t have the time to solve it. We do.

Founder
AstraRelay was founded by Ben Slaughter, a software engineering leader with more than 15 years of experience building and operating complex, high-reliability systems. Before moving fully into technology, Ben spent time working in construction, giving him an early appreciation for how trade businesses actually operate in the field: tight schedules, constant customer communication, urgent service requests, and the importance of turning opportunities into completed jobs.
That hands-on background now pairs with Ben’s experience managing real estate operations, where fast follow-up and reliable service coordination directly impact revenue. Through that work, he saw how often small operational gaps — missed calls, delayed replies, jobs that slip through the cracks — quietly cost a business real money.
Ben started AstraRelay to bring that same operational rigor to HVAC and plumbing companies. The premise is simple: every shop already pays — in marketing dollars, in time, in trucks on the road — to make their phone ring. AstraRelay exists to make sure the calls that come in actually turn into booked jobs.
His focus is simple: help service businesses respond faster, book more jobs, and grow without adding more administrative burden to the team.
